TinaH
I don't know if I need to troubleshoot, but I couldn't find this discussed anywhere. If it takes me 1.5 hours to consume my meal template at breakfast, is that too long? Here's what's happening. Get up at 6am Get ready for work Eat part of my meal at 7am, then pack lunch and I need to get out the door So I eat the rest in the car...probably finish around 745 Then, my fat portion is in my coffee as a 1/4 can coconut milk. But I sip on my coffee my entire drive to work so I don't finish that until about 830a Am I messing up my hormones by doing this? Lunch and dinner are much easier for me - eat at an enjoyable pace, in one place, all template items in the meal (vs in a drink)
Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 3, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2014 My first response is that what you are doing is not awful, just not ideal. It would be best if you were eating all of your breakfast by 7 AM, but I can't quantify what difference it might make.
TinaH
Thank you Tom. I'll keep striving for that. My biggest behavioral shift doing the whole30 is eating breakfast within an hour of waking up. I've never cared much about breakfast, and since I'm still not hungry when I I get up I don't yet have a cue to go eat. But, starting tomorrow I will plan to eat at 30 min after waking (so I'm done by 1 hr). That means I'll now sip my coffee while getting ready for work. I can do that!
