Chipotle

I thought Chipotle would be a pretty safe bet considering they have pretty basic ingredients.  I usually order a salad bowl with steak or chicken, but looking at their ingredient list, it looks like they add honey to their marinade.

Also looks like they use rice bran oil and sunflower oil.  So what does everyone think?  Is a chipotle steak or chicken salad off the menu for Whole30?

Chipotle has been discussed a lot on this forum over the years.  Here's a July 2014 post of mine from a thread that began in 2012. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/153-chipotle/?p=214122

Basically, what kirkor said. The tomato salsa also might be ok, if, like the guac, you confirm the citrus juice is 100% juice (no added sugar or sweetener).

Today I was out and about with my boyfriend doing our grocery shopping for our second week and I suggested we go to Chiptole because I as well as everyone else have heard that their stuff is supposed to be okay. I mulled it over for awhile and decided maybe we should not, just in case. It's really good to know that they have some safe choices! Thank goodness for this forum or we'd both be having a lot harder of a time! :)

So a salad at chipotle with carnitas, guac and tomatoe salsa would be compliant right? There's one down the street from me and it would be awesome to have a go-to fast food option just in case! Thanks!

As I stated in my earlier post, just confirm that the juice used in the salsa is 100% juice with no added sweetener.
