afoent
Hi All, Happy to get started. I'm wondering if I can start the program if I'm taking an antibiotic.
Guest Andria
Yes, you most certainly can start the program while taking an antibiotic, or any doctor prescribed medication for that matter. Doctor's orders trump Whole30 rules every time.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 1, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2015 Your gut will be troubled by the antibiotics, so your experience will be different to that extent, but you can still get healthier doing a Whole30.
Guest Andria
Oh, I meant to add to be sure to take in probiotics daily during and after your course of antibiotics. You can get probiotics from fermented foods like kombucha, fermented sauerkraut and pickles (must locate these items in the refrigerated section - Bubbies is one brand in particular). praxisproject
I did my first Whole30 with antibiotics and had great results If you're a long-term antibiotic user, go gently with probiotics, small portions at first, give your system time to adjust. My body loved some of them (kombucha), others not so much
