Cota10
Today I am starting my 3rd day of my first whole 30 and while I knew it was inevitable I will be facing my first dining out event this weekend. I was hoping for any wise words, tips, basics to follow to make going less stressful. I truly want to do the best possible to stay on track especially so early on. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
kirkor
Have you seen When Harry Met Sally? If you haven't, do. If you have, then realize even if you quiz the waitress hard, you probably won't be as annoying as Sally was.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 9, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2015 There is actually a Dining Out Guide for the Whole30 -- you might find it helpful. In general, try to find out what the menu is before you get to the restaurant, so you can start to plan ahead. Some places are easier to be compliant than others. Chinese food, for instance, would be really tough, but a nice steakhouse would be a lot easier, especially if you can call ahead and find out about marinades on the meats and possibly ask for some to be set aside, unmarinated, for you if the marinades typically contain soy or sugar.
