Jon Ball
I am getting over a bout of diverticulitus. Eggs have always been a big part of my protein intake. Our Peking ducks have started laying, so I've been eating the duck eggs, or trying to. I have noticed extreme abdominal cramping after eating them. I'm not sure if it is the eggs or just a lingering effect of the DiverT, or maybe the flue that I also caught just after the DiverT. I know that duck eggs are acidic and chicken eggs are alkaline. Duck eggs are also supposed to be higher in certain proteins, fats, etc. Does anyone have experience with this?
missmary
many people who are sensitive to chicken eggs find that they can digest duck eggs. It sounds like this isn't the case for you, though? I would skip eggs entirely for a while until you are feeling better, then try one and the other.
Jon Ball
well, I did it again. I tried another duck egg today. Not good. I guess they're off my list. I wonder if I can sell them?
