BarbV
Reading that a lot of Whole 30 recommended meals are with tuna. Is everyone going to the expense of fresh tuna? I am having a heck of a time finding canned w/I vegetable broth containing soy.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 13, 2015 In my local grocery store there are maybe 25-30 different tuna choices available. Two or three of them include all Whole30-compliant ingredients. My standard is the one that is tuna, olive oil, and salt. I also buy tuna, water, and salt. Keep looking. The decent tuna is there. SpinSpin
I like wild planet tuna--it is just tuna and salt. There is some fluid in the can, but that is from the canning process, where they take raw tuna, salt it and pack it in the can and it is cooked in the canning process. I know that there are other brands, like the one in olive oil--begins with a T--but I typically pick up the wild planet tuna.
