Bexstoth
one of the ingredients is 'oat flowers' does this count as a grain? I'm unsure as green beans are ok as they are pod not bean, right? so wondered if this was tge same?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted July 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2015 As long as it's the flower, it's fine. There was this Facebook post addressing it, where Melissa said: If it's truly the oat FLOWER (and not flour!) then it's fine. The issues with grains come in the seed - eating the plant portion doesn't raise the same concerns. Melissa
Bexstoth
yeah it's the flowering tops, not FLOUR, that would be grim in tea! yay! I really like that tea
Shawie
Since this is a "tea" related topic I'm going to post my question here (sorry if this is considered hi-jacking!) there is this tea that I like to drink every night as it is caffeine-free and it helps me relax before I go to bed. The ingredients are: Organic rooibos, organic cinnamon, natural flavors, organic apple, and organic chamomile. Is this Whole30 compliant? ...or do I have to say goodbye to this and find a different tea to drink?

Shawie
This is fine. Awesome. I was a little thrown off by the Natural Flavors bit but I'm glad this is OK because I love this tea. Thanks!

Shawie
Yum that sounds delicious. What brand is it/where can you get it? TAZO - Organic baked cinnamon apple I am pretty sure you can get it in any grocery store. I want to say I bought this at Target. I'm not 100% sure though, TAZO is pretty popular brand I think.
