Favorite steak spices???

The last sorta fancy thing that I did with a steak was a mojo marinade with coconut aminos, orange juice, lime juice, and jerk seasoning. I just Google'd "jerk seasoning recipe" and searched until I found something with less than a dozen ingredients. I remember that it included thyme, allspice, cinnamon, and cayenne, but don't recall what else.

We're big steak eaters here at my house and I usually use just salt, fresh ground pepper and garlic powder. I like Montreal Seasoning, SOMETIMES, but frankly if its a good steak I think it interferes with the steak itself. That doesnt mean I wont be willing to try a couple of these others though.

We're obligated to share the Hartwig's coffee mocha steak rub:

 

1 Tbsp black pepper, 1 Tbsp ground coriander, 2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa, 2 tsp ground coffee.

 

Grind it all up in a spice grinder...  or a coffee grinder.
