Ranch dressing gone too acid

Recommended Posts

I just made the ranch dressing from the Whole 30 cookbook and it's way to acid for my taste. I followed the recipe which called for 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar.

Do you have any tips for me to make the dressing less acidic so I can enjoy better this cup of dressing I just made? :-)

Also a little bit proud of my first home made mayo, success in first try!

I put full fat coconut milk into my ranch (I am not familiar with that recipe -- i modify a recipe I found on Food Network) -- mayo, lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, garlic, green onion, dill, salt, pepper, and I use the coconut milk in place of the buttermilk that is usually in ranch. It is pretty good and not coconutty if that is an issue. I also make it to taste, so I don't have a real recipe with amounts.

ANYWAY that was a long winded post on maybe add some coconut milk to your dressing and chill it till it thickens up? The extra fat might calm down the tartness.
