NicoleMeigui
So my mother wants to have a big family dinner this weekend while my sister is still in town. On January 2. Which is the day I've been planning for MONTHS to start my Whole30! She's suggesting either really bad Chinese food, or passable Mexican. I'm thinking Mexican sounds more reasonable since I can just order fajitas and say no to the cheese, sour cream, and tortillas, right???? BOO!!!! GFChris
Chinese food is almost impossible to have compliant, unless you get steamed protein and veggies.Mexican is tricky to have compliant. You'd need to confirm the cooking oils and seasonings for the meat and veggies are among the allowed foods. If I were you, I'd start your Whole30 on Jan 3rd. jmcbn
I agree with Chris.Eating out once you've gotten used to the parameters of the program is one thing, but starting your Whole30 in a situation that is almost entirely out of your control is another. One more day isn't such a big difference in the grand scheme of things - enjoy the dinner with your family & then settle in for the long haul.... NicoleMeigui
Yep. This makes sense. We're just going to start on Jan 3. Now to figure out how to get the email for Day 1 to send on my newly appointed Day #1....
