macyholtz
Question. I had lunch at 12:30 and I am starting to get hungry four hours later, 4:30. I would like to eat dinner at 6 or 7. What should i do in the meantime? Should i eat a mini meal to hold me over?? Breakfast 8;30am: two eggs scrambled, broccoli and avocado Lunch 12:30pm: talapia, celery, broccoli, red peppers, sweet potato and avocado
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 4, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2016 A mini meal would be perfect here. No one expects you to go 6-7 hours between meals. There are lots of people that use a similar timing (lunch at noon, dinner at 6-7) and we just have a little snack (preferrably protein and fat or protein and a veggie) to tide us over. You could probably afford to eat more at your breakfast though, just as a thought. Eggs, when they are your sole protein, are as many as you can hold in your hand. That's at least 3-4 for most women. Or add another cooked protein with it. And white fish tends not to be as satiating or give as long a duration as other proteins so you may need more of that also. But to answer your first question, a mini meal is perfect between lunch and dinner when you are referring to your timing above.
missmunchie
I would totally mini-meal it. There's a lot of time between 12:30 and 6. Just make sure you keep it to the template with a solid protein and fat, or you'll be ravenous come dinner. (Speaking from experience! )
