melliewoo
Hello! My husband and I are on day 9 of our Whole30 and so far so good! (I finally made a successful batch of mayo last night!!!!) However, there are a few recipes we would like to try that call for apple cider. I have apple cider vinegar but i do not have apple cider. All the ciders I could find in the supermarket are filled with sugar and not approved Whole30 ingredients. Also, locating apple cider this time of year has been a little bit of a challenge. I was wondering if any of you have been able to find a reputable compliant apple cider brand. Thanks in advance!
laura_juggles
Are you looking at the sugar content in the nutrition label? Musselman's and Martinelli's (which I think I've seen in Walmart) are both apples and ascorbic acid, which is fine. You could probably also just use apple juice. jannelleq
Hello-we're you ever able to find apple cider? I'm starting on Monday and can't seem to find one either. Thank you!
JulieP757
Apple cider is generally made with one ingredient - apples. Read the ingredient list, not the nutrition label. Apples have natural sugar, which is fine. Just an FYI - fruit juices are for sweetening things, not for drinking on the Whole 30.
