Mason
Hey everyone, I'm about to start a Whole30 in a few days. I usually a have a smoothie daily consisting of spinach, a palmful of berries, coconut mana and almond milk. I have read that smoothies aren't recommended for the program but I am hoping to keep them in the mix, just make them a little smaller and primarily greens-based. I am giving up nuts as I think it may be affecting my digestion. Anybody know of a good replacement for the almond milk that gels with this program? Thanks so much! Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 27, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 27, 2016 Um... how about just giving up the smoothie and following the template? It is not advised to drink smoothies because it affects your digestion. Liquid food is VERY quickly absorbed and digested which means that you're going to be hungry in a few hours. It's not just because we want you to be inconvenienced by having to cook your food and we want you to suffer but you won't get the best results with keeping smoothies around. As far as a substitute for almond milk, what about water?
