Starting over

Hi. I made it from Day 1 on 21 May to Day 12 on 01 June and then "fell off my bicycle" :( in, of all places, the health food store!

My own fault for not preparing with doing the reading.

I saw those organic potato chips cooked in avocado oil and thought Wow, they would be acceptable.

Later in the day, I decided to check here on the site and learned the TRUTH.

Chips are Not acceptable.

Next day, 02 June, I got back on the bike and started over.

Today is my Day 5 and I  feel fine.

Lesson learned: Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is just ignorance! B)

Anyone else out there doing the same?

I'm in the same boat, a couple of days behind you. Starting over's not nearly as traumatic as starting the first time (at least for me). it's a process, I'm learning, and I really do feel like I could eat this way -- with occasional off plan indulgences -- for the rest of my life.

Good job for having such a great attitude!  Bummer about the chips but I'm proud of you for starting over!

Thanks, SugarCube.

Hey, AngelEyz (cute name), maybe we can encourage each other?

I had completed almost one week before my first official start date.

This was because I had a dinner event scheduled from before and did not want to make a big deal with the chef.

So, I considered that first week as a Practice run.

It was good.

Some digestive issues.

Then the dinner followed by the real start.

All went well until my "fall".

Now I am back on and it seems to be fine.

More like I just had a day off; no big deal.

My appetite seems to be lessening.

I feel full sooner at meals, also.

However, the jeans are not getting any looser, just yet.

I do not mind not weighing, but I would like the pants to get looser.

I have a doc appointment on the 20th, which will be my day 19.

Can I really resist looking at the number on the scales when I weigh in???

If I feel thinner that day, or if my pants are looser, maybe yes.

Maybe no.

Looking forward to be done before Independence Day.

I am enjoying this style of eating, though, and will probably return to it after the 4th of July ice cream treat.

I agree with you about considering this as a lifestyle program.

How are you doing?

Hello! You're probably just thinking outloud about to weigh or not to weigh at the doctors office, but I've asked them to not tell me how much I weigh and they've been so very complaint and supportive. The doctor was even on board. Any how, just thought I'd throw my two cents around. Looks like you're doing great! :)
