As usually when you cook with most alcohols you burn the alcohol out. or is this not true? Also I cook shepherd pie with red win in my mince if you were wandering what I planned on using it in. purplepadres Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Broth generally is a good replacement for wine in recipes, although I've found that I taste first & season with salt later when adding more broth, since many of them can have a higher sodium content.
