Guest Kebenson
Hi, two days ago I ate a mini (3-bite) cupcake. At first it was fine but the next day I was tired, had gas, diarrhea and a hard stomach. Today I decided to test it again and had a waffle. Within 3 hours I had hard stomach some pain and diarrhea. This means I shouldn't eat this stuff right? I've never felt this way due to these foods and was debating if I'm getting sick. Any assistance is appreciated! kebenson
FYI I don't know why this listed me as a guest. I guess I wasn't logged in.
Susan W
Yes I would say most likely gluten and possibly dairy in the cupcake? Sometimes the symptoms are worse after a whole 30. I forget why. Something to do with the healing you have done.
kb0426
In this thread, Melissa addresses why you may experience effects of foods that have never bothered you before. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/4544-can-eating-clean-make-previously-unknown-sensitives-much-worse/ I would say your body is telling you something! kebenson
Thanks! That's what I was thinking. I'll test to see if it is for just gluten or wheat as well. I was happy to stay mainly whole9 before but this cements it!
EmmaSthlm
I think you should try wheat without dairy, perhaps even as recommended three times a day for two days or so. Then go back to W30 and "rest" a day or two, before you try other gluten three times a day for two days in a row, then "rest", and finally try dairy. In that way you will know what causes the symptoms.
