jadore43210
Well tonight I just needed something yummy for my soul and my body. My makeshift snack idea was slices of cantaloupe that I had in my refrigerator wrapped in prosciutto, and it was wonderful. Would totally recommend -- super easy and delicious! Blueglass74
That does look yummy, salty and sweet. I have a hard time finding any deli meat with out the nitrates in them. Glad you found something fresh. Did you slice the meat yourself? I like this idea, keep them coming...
jadore43210
Actually, I found the prosciutto at Trader Joe's and just looked at the ingredients. There are a couple options that have just two ingredients. I've been eating this snack all the time! Chomps beef jerky, just mango slices, plantain chips and cashew butter from Trader Joe's are all great options! I love eating the cashew butter with bananas or Granny Smith apples!! Some of the snacks have oils that the whole30 encourages us to limit, but on occasion they're great options, especially for something new and delicious. ecogeekmama
Aldi's has real Italian prosciutto. I love this idea - nothing like sweet and salty.
QuilterInVA
Fruit is not for snacks. It is to be eaten with meals.

It is RECOMMENDED that fruit be eaten with meals and not on its own as it can spike blood sugar and keep the sugar dragon alive, however it's not against the rules... This is the best fruit 'snack' I've seen as it has protein and fat in the meat, however it would not be ideal for daily consumption altho alongside a meal this would be great!
