Ingridheather
I'm a newbie - planning on starting my first Whole30 on April 1. I googled "Whole30 compliant almond butter brands" and Justin's popped up so I ordered some packets to keep at work. Just read the label and there is a gram of sugar for each serving. Obviously better than a lot of other almond butters, but doesn't seem to actually be Whole 30 compliant. I also checked out the Whole30 approved list here -- and didn't see any almond butters on it. I'm sure this question has been asked before but I just couldn't find the answer. Is Justin's somehow allowed/compliant despite the sugar? Did I buy the wrong version (I bought the "classic"). Is there a brand that definitely is compliant? Please don't tell me to make my own.
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted March 28, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2018 All plants and their products have naturally ocurring sugar. The Whole30 is concerned with ADDED sugar, not naturally ocurring so check out the ingredient list, not the nutrition label.
