Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2018 You lost more than a pound a week, that isn't failure. Weight loss depends on so many things, it is different for everyone, and while there are people who lose more than seven pounds, there are people who lose less as well. Maybe read this and see if it helps put things in perspective: https://whole30.com/2015/02/comparison/ Have you noticed any other benefits? Clearer skin, better mood? (There's a non-scale victory checklist here with more possibilities: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/)

SarahS2018
I suppose it is all about perceptions. I completed my first Whole 30 a month ago and didn't lose any weight. However, I lost inches all over, so much so that I had to go out and buy new trousers. I was very surprised at not losing any weight because of the changes in my body size, but I feel great, so well worth it.
Swamp Yankee
I lost 8 pounds on my W30, and dropped a clothing size, top and bottom. And feel great and in control. I learned a lot.
Reese15
I lost 2 pounds and no inches. I'm sure the 2 pounds is just water weight from not eating as many carbs/salt. I'm disappointed, too, because I really need to lose about 20 pounds to be at my best. But, I'm trying to focus on other NSV. I reduced one of my depression meds and I have fewer cravings for sweets and chocolate. I sleep better and have more energy during the day. I'm not eating every couple of hours to keep my energy up. Next week I go in for blood tests to check cholesterol, A1c, etc. I'm very interested to see how those tests turn out.
