Run4fun
I am getting painful cramps in both feet almost every evening once I settle in for the evening. This began happening a few days into my Whole 30 and is now reoccurring almost nightly (it's Day 18 for me today and I feel fabulous other than the cramps). What's up with that? MamaToMyMunkins
Are you taking any magnesium? I get muscle cramps when my magnesium gets low. I take some before bed and it helps me sleep better and also helps the cramps.
jennrider
Magnesium. My mom had horrible foot/leg cramps during her W30. She took Natural Calm before bed and that helped. There are all kinds of tricks (including putting a bar of soap under the sheet) out there, but the magnesium helped the most. Also, you may need more sodium. Cutting out processed food greatly reduces the amount of sodium you are getting.
Run4fun
Thanks for the input. I'm guessing it's magnesium as I've been living a 90 to 95% compliant Paleo life for more than 1 1/2 years and this is the first I've had recurring problems. I'll track down a supplement. Flynn
It could also be potassium. Try eating a banana before you spend a lot of money on supplements
