jennycash Posted February 9, 2013 Share Posted February 9, 2013 Ya know, I had a UTI on the tail end of my whole30 (along with a horrible cold and conjunctivitis in both eyes!). I'd never had a UTI before and, while it may have been an odd coincidence, my gut feeling was always that it was related - purging some long-living nasties via my urethra? :/ I asked the same question back then and got the answer that made most sense - who knows? Your body is purging yuckies; maybe for some of us that means a flare...down there. I hope you recover soon. I tried healing it with natural remedies but was in so much pain. Holly Posted February 9, 2013 Share Posted February 9, 2013 UTIs are caused by bacteria, usually ecoli bacteria. It is not caused by your body "purging". If it isn't getting better call your doctor.
