SarahKay
Hi! Is Almond Milk okay to use? I'm pretty new at this...day 3...and can't seem to find any information on Almond Milk. Specifically Almond Breeze (40 cal) plain. I've been putting some in my coffee and it just dawned on me that it might not be Whole30 compliant. Thanks so much!! sk
kb0426
Nope! It contains carrageenan which makes it a no go. This is one of my favorite resources: http://whole9life.com/2012/08/the-whole30-program/ While it does not specifically define almond milk, it does address what additives you have to avoid. Check ALL labels!
CAK911
If you want to make your own almond milk, I believe that is acceptable, though. But, yeah, all the packaged brands have off-limits additives.
