GinasMa
Hi all! Just started yesterday and by last night I already felt like crap. I was on MAJOR carb/surgar overload prior to starting but didn't think I would feel like this until a few days in. Drink More water?? I had to take some Advil today to make it at work. Also, can anyone suggest some quick GOOD ideas for lunch. I work FT and run home on my lunch hour so I don't have a lot of time. I made my own mayo last night and it actually came out perfect!! I was thinking about whipping up some tuna salad for lunch today. Anyone tried that and what do you put in it? Thanks for your help!!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 18, 2013 Real carb flu takes a few days to develop. Be careful to eat enough! Many people don't eat enough when they start a Whole30 and that can make you feel bad unnecessarily. Follow the meal template guidelines faithfully: http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf I've published lots of tuna and salmon salad recipes. Here is one of my early successes: http://www.wholelifeeating.com/2011/05/spicy-tuna-salad-with-granny-smith-apple-and-black-olives/
megmac
Chili is my savior. I make a big batch almost every Sunday (all different kinds-bison, beef, turkey, pork). I prepack it in individual containers and freeze some for later. I add 1/2 avocado on top and some side veggies (usually raw, but that's just my preference), and lunch is 30 mins start to finish. If you haven't tried it, the chocolate chile in Well Fed is a forum favorite.
