Nicole1775
Are we allowed to eat the skin on chicken or fats on meat? Thanks
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 1, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2013 Eating the skin and fat is encouraged with pasture raised, grass-fed, organic meats, but not with factory-farmed meats. Conventionally raised, factory farmed animals collect more toxins than their organic siblings and the toxins gather in the fat. So when you are buying cheap meats from ordinary stores, go for lean cuts and trim the visible fat and chicken skin.
Moluv
And if you do end up trimming fat and skin from factory farmed meat make sure to add back an appropriate amount in other fat like coconut, olives, avocado.
