Melatonin

We can't see the ingredients list in that picture. Melatonin in general is okay, but you need to look at the ingredients. Start by comparing them to what's listed in the rules and the sneaky sugars list and the common additives cheat sheet, all of which can be downloaded here: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/

If there are some ingredients you can't find on those lists, Google whole30 plus the ingredient and see if it's been addressed before.

If you can't find any information on the first page or so of search results, come back and list the specific ingredients you're not sure about, and we'll help figure it out.

One thing I'd add here is that we don't recommend the long term use of melatonin as it can inhibit the body's ability to produce it by itself.

Is there a reason that you take it other than to help with sleep - if not magnesium might be a better alternative & there are plenty of compliant options out there (original natural calm being the most widely used across the forums)? Do you practice good sleep hygiene?

Jmcbn is correct.  The longer/ more melatonin you take, your body starts producing less of it's own. The younger you are the less of this you should be taking, if at all.  Younger than post-menopause... there's a blowback during the daylight hours and you actually feel sleepier.  Then night falls, unable to sleep again and you take melatonin.  Taking more of the hair of the dog that bit you in the first place.  It can create a circle of sleeping problems.
