DAY 80 - Wednesday October 9th

Info: Day 80...wow this really is going better than I had expected, I think now that I am used to eating a certain way the cravings for bad stuff just don't come around anymore. I was eating some different foods at the buffet the other night and was really noticing flavor profiles and that the food tasted great without adding a bunch of stuff to it (e.g. I used to douse steak with A-1 steak sauce) don't get me wrong I still LOVE and I stress LOVE hot sauce, but the other things I used to put on my food I don't feel I really need, or more importantly even want anymore!

DAY 81 - Thursday October 10th

Info: Today was definitely an interesting day. I went and did a colon hydrotherapy session to get cleaned out a bit...nit very comfortable, but was worth it I'd say. Then later in the evening a friend was moving out of state and he was having a going away party at a local dive bar. Needless to say there was a lot of quaffing of beer all around, it looked and smelled delicious, but I stayed away!

DAY 83 - Saturday October 12th
Info: Shot a local IDPA match today, and made sure I had food to take with me, worked out well and all went according to plan. Went to Chili's for dinner and their sirloin minus the butter and mashed potatoes is pretty good, I got a huge steak and a ton of broccoli! If you decided to go, just sub all broccoli and they really hooked it up on the veggies. And Chili's was all redone, so it was nice in there!

DAY 84 - Sunday October 13th

Info: Well getting ready for the gym tomorrow, all is going well, and I pulled/strained the same muscle in my back that has been giving me issues. I've narrowed it down to a flexibility problem as well, it hurts when I try to straighten my leg or bend over. Stretching or maybe even Yoga is on the books for me ASAP. Oh and the gym thing is still a go, I'll just work around it!

Have you considered chiro and/or physio for your back?

I've done chiro before, seemed to help, was actually thinking about going back and seeing if it would help. I need to buy a tens machine, that is what has helped the most in the past.

( I am posting this on Sunday at 3;05pm and I was just able to get out of bed and not want to die) So moral of the story? WEAR A MASK!!!! That was fricking terrible!

DAY 91 - Sunday October 20th

Info: Well after my awesome migraine yesterday/today it kind of messed up my eating, not that I cheated, but I definitely was not out of bed in time to even pretend I had breakfast whatsoever. Oh on another note, I think I have the photo issues I was having fixed, so I can bring you guys some wonderful pictures again!

DAY 92 - Monday October 21st

Info: Was talking with a friend on Facebook and he was celebrating his 2 year Paleo way of life, and remembering what it was like before that, he has lost 45-50 lbs and changed his life quite a bit since the caveman has come knocking at his door. That's awesome! He is also the one that turned me on to the Paleo diet, and such wonders as Robb Wolf, Matt LaLonde, Mark Sisson, and many others. If you don't know who these people are, I suggest you hop on Google and check them out. Not only do they have hours of valuable listening and reading material available, some of them have really cool hair *coughMattLaLondecough* Yep I just went there.........Oh yeah and thanks Jared Reece for getting me started on this "thing" as I used to call it. It has definitely changed my life as well!

DAY 92 - Tuesday October 22nd

Info: This weekend is the final big IDPA pistol competition I am doing this year, it is in New Mexico, and about 7 hours from Denver. That being said food is always a concern on road trips, but this time another friend of mine (Who is doing his 1st sets of Whole30 as we speak) asked if I would cook food for us so we don't have to try to do the travel food stuff. So tonight I started putting together some food for us to take along. I was thinking of ways to combine fats/veggies and figured out there really is not a tastier and easier way than making coleslaw!!! So I made a giant dish of it! we will also be having plenty of meats (SF Sausages, Chicken, Steak, and Cod) Anyways enough babble, I was just excited because this coleslaw tastes VERY similar to KFC's sugar bomb coleslaw, except it doesn't have all the sugar and garbage in it! I think the recipe is soon to follow!

dinner.JPG Dinner!

Food Log:

Breakfast: SF Sausage, with mustard, celery, and carrots, 14 almonds

Lunch: Chicken breasts, shredded red and green cabbage with carrots, doused in hot sauce, 14 almonds

Dinner: SF spicy sausages, and a giant serving of paleo slaw

Snack: none

Exercise log: I did a few sets of push ups to attempt to make the transition to the gym a little easier. I have decided sore back or not I need to get in to the gym....and the back seems to loosen up a bit when I work out or move around, so I'm saying "Forgeddabouditt" and going for it. It's not going to change much one way or another.

My serve of coleslaw is the one in the bowl! Salads don't fit on plates in my house :P

You could take vegie sticks and dips too for combining fat and vegies. Asian style salads with nut butter sauces are yummy too :)

I just made a batch of OOM and I put in Dill and dried onion flakes, it came out way better than I expected, I will definitely take veggie sticks to dip in to it! And the asian style salad is a good idea, I think i will do that too!
