walrissa
I teach school and have tow kids in school, so I always take vitamin C to help boost my immune system. I stopped on the first when I started this Whole 30 and I feel like everyone around me has suddenly gotten a cold. The supplements we have on hand have sugars not permitted. Any recommendations? Vitamin D is another concern - it is November and I am in Alaska. TIA!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2013 Vitamin C and D and others are okay to take as long as they do not include off-plan ingredients like soy, dairy, sugar, etc. I personally take C and D and a few others. You might want to look at the Whole9 take on supplements: http://whole9life.com/2010/08/whole9-supplement-evaluation-checklist/ http://whole9life.com/2010/09/supplements-part-ii/
trezkholl0806
Wasn't sure where to post this, so I'm just posting along with this... I have Bluebonnet brand Calcium Citrate, Magnesium, Vitamin D3 mix, and the other ingredients are: vegetable cellulose, stearic acid, silica, vegetable magnesium stearate, vegetable glaze... I have no clue what those are. Are those non-compliant ingredients?? It says "free of milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans, yeast, gluten, barley, rice, sodium and sugar"...
