kbgrote
Does anyone know of a sriracha sauce that is ok on the whole30? If not, a good hot sauce?
Vian
Michelle Tam of Nomnompaleo.com came up with a whole30 compliant sriracha recipe. I haven't tried it, but I've heard it tastes almost the same as the real thing http://nomnompaleo.com/post/53690118029/whole30-r-sriracha
missmary
and to be clear: the store-bought sriracha is NOT ok on a whole30. It has both sweetener and preservatives. There are a number of hot sauces on the market that are ok, just read each label to be sure.
bellewannabe17
I haven't been able to find any store-bought Asian hot sauce or chili paste that is compliant.
kbgrote
Thanks. I will try that recipe tonight!!
praxisproject
Most of the asian ones contain sugar or soy, so they're out for Whole30. However if you like the hot stuff, Franks Hot Sauce (original) and Louisiana Hot Sauce have versions which are Whole30 compliant. Always read the label, not all hot sauces are created equal. EchoDelta
Original Tobasco is also Whole 30 compliant but Franks, imo, has a better flavor.
