lauralees84
Hi, I'm on day 4 of my first Whole 30 and my skin has gone nuts. I suffer from Rosacea and in times of stress cystic acne. These are both part of the reason I am doing this. Pre starting the Whole 30 I was going through a (relatively) calm period with my skin but now my Rosacea has flared up really badly, all over my cheeks and on my nose. I haven't had it on my nose for over a year now! I'm not eating anything that I haven't had before, the only change is I've cut out all the crap so I'm struggling to pinpoint the issue. Is this common? In a 'it gets worse before it gets better kind of way'?? As a side not tho, only 4 days in and I can feel the difference in my energy levels! BOOM! Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 6, 2014 The stress of making a major dietary change may be the culprit for you. As you settle into Whole30-style eating, I would expect your stress to fade and maybe the Rosacea too.
lauralees84
Thanks for the reply! I hadn't even thought about it being the stress of the change (and it has been a major change!) but you could be right! Fingers crossed
Carlaccini
I found with my first whole 30 that my medium to mild roseacea got worse before it got better. So stay with it - it should get better.
