mcjule
My husband and I are hosting a BBQ this weekend and since we're the hosts I get to control the food. Yay! I want to make some Whole 30-compliant sides. Anyone have any they particularly like? Thanks!
jent103
If you have Well Fed 2, the classic cole slaw has been a big hit when I've taken it to a couple of things! I love the broccoli salad as well.
Guest
I love cole slaw using my own easy "recipe". I also started making an egg salad recently. If you don't have your own favorite recipes already, I can tell you what I do. (Mostly wingin' it.) Throw some sweet potatoes, zucchini, and peppers on the grill. Maybe grill some mushroom caps with an herb/clarified butter blend. (I've never done it, but it sounds possibly yummy.) Greens, like beet green, collards, kale? A green salad with a homemade mayo based vinaigrette. Something acidic like cucumber/tomato/mint in apple cider vinegar. A beet salad. Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. **Ann**
Cole slaw and egg salad as already suggested. I've also made a "no potato" salad before using cauli as the potato. It was pretty good. here is the link to the recipe from everyday paleo. http://everydaypaleo.com/everyday-paleo-no-potato-salad/

VFDhaven
I've recently discovered that BBQ on top on a sweet potato is absolutely incredible!! I don't miss the bun at all!
Whole30 Certified Coach littleg Posted March 23, 2014 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted March 23, 2014 Sweet potato fries on the grill are really good. I've been eating a ton of mango salsa lately - its a good sweet dish to counter spicy BBQ
