Nervous...How to start....

Hello Everyone! I am new here and I just read the book "It Starts With Food." Great book. I swear that they wrote this book just for me BUT with that being said...I am nervous to start. I do not want to fail and frankly it super hard for me to give up sugar (which I really need to do) and eat that much meat and fat. I am going to be so busy this month with a new job and such, but is there really a "good" time to do something like this? I guess I am just looking for thoughts/encouragement. I am also nervous that I am going to gain even more weight.

I have had the same fears. Coming from a calorie counter background it's been tough to give up counting and tracking. I log my food everyday, and try to pay attention to portions. I feel great though and I'm 7 days out from day 30. I also didn't think I could give up all sugar but I have. My best piece of advice is prep and ask questions when eating out. Play the allergy card if needed. They will make sure your food is prepped right if you ask nicely. My log is under the forum, was gonna post link but it won't let me, don't be afraid. I came off of vacation and did this almost immediately and was teaching mentally challenged students this past month. I've eaten out and will be traveling this weekend on the whole 30. You can do it! Trust me :)

You CAN do it, as the Nike ads say JUST DO IT, follow the meal templates, enjoy the freedom w30 brings and after the initial hump you are going to feel bazillion times better without the white devil in your life,

Go girl!

p.s love the dress!

You can do this for a day right? Do one day and then get up and do it AGAIN. You CAN do this. Don't get overwhelmed, ok?

And don't worry about failure. Do you see any of the people on their second or third or even fourth Whole30 as failures? I don't. Persevere and work hard to reach your goals. That makes someone a success to me.

You can do this!

Starting is harder than actually doing. I waffled and almost psyched myself out of it but I learned pretty early on that not only is it NOT hard (the first few days are challenging but I'm a grown-a$$ woman and can handle it) but it was the BEST thing I ever did for my body.

Click the link in my signature, I have Whole 30 food porn, recipes and everything I bought at the supermarket yesterday.

You can do this!
