kyekye23
Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if its okay to do whole30 while I am nursing. My baby is 2 months old and only breast fed. I know whole30 is healthy but am I getting everything still that my baby would need? Thanks. Kylie Link to comment

missmary
Its definitely ok, just one caution for you: sometimes, when new moms start the whole30 they are worried about baby weight or used to "diets" and restrict how much they are eating. Please don't. The beauty of eating whole30 foods is that it gets easier and easier to recognize your bodies signals about how much to eat. When you start, use the meal template as a minimum for how much food you take in, adding a fourth meal for a breastfeeding mom. Make sure you get a good amount of starchy veggies every day. Add a fifth meal or mini meal (protein, fat and vegetable) whenever you feel hungry and enjoy. oh! and don't forget to drink enough water! With those suggestions, this is a great plan for you and the baby. the meal template is here: http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf Link to comment
