HilaryKM
I've been eating cashews that contain "vegetable oil", which is listed as "cottonseed, peanut, sunflower, and/or canola oil". UGH. I can't believe I didn't think to check that label. I'm on day 18 and am disappointed that I might need to start over. Is that advisable in my situation? GFChris
Unfortunately, the peanut oil part is not compliant on a Whole30. The other oils aren't great, but they're not banned on a Whole30. Whole30 general rules call for a restart to day 1 if you eat anything off-plan. It's not clear that what you ate had peanut oil in it, given the and/or statement. If you want to be sure and do a 100% clean Whole30, restarting would be the way to go. Take a look at this article for further context: http://whole30.com/2014/06/really-start-whole30/
LightenUpLor
I realized our cashews say they contain sunflower seed oil. I realize this can't be great, but are they still considered compliant? THANK YOU!
Robin Strathdee
Sunflower seed oil is not completely off plan, but you'd do better to find another option
