little mighty
Anyone else get nauseous from eating gelatin? I recently bought some of the Great Lakes stuff (red package, the gelling kind), tried it in a few recipes, and felt sick to my stomach after consuming it (assuming it was the gelatin as it was the only constant in the recipes, and I feel icky even thinking about it). I don't feel this way after using the water-soluble kind (green package). WTF???
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 24, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 24, 2014 Just a note... Gelatin is not on our hot list of food-products to avoid during a Whole30, but it doesn't rise to the standard of real, whole foods. If you want collagen in your diet, we recommend home-made bone broth and not something that comes in a package.
little mighty
Damn - I obviously didn't read carefully enough! Thanks for the heads up. I found the answer to my question anyway and will be avoiding gelatin from now on
