Basically, you are subbing good protein (eggs) for the bun, not recreating a bun with some kind of nut flour. (Of course I am not a Moderator so one of them should be along shortly to confirm ...) If the food fits the template nicely (palm of protein, thumb of fat, lots of veg) it is much more likely to be ok. It's when the food is out of proportion (it pushes vegetables or protein off your plate and instead loads up on nuts or fruit) it is much less likely to be ok. That said, if you really really miss your daily egg mcmuffin and plan on starting those up again on day 31, maybe branch out a bit on the form of breakfast for your whole30.
