SusanB.
Just looking for words of wisdom from other people who have dealt with the sugar demon themselves, that's all. A lot of the commentary was very helpful, and I appreciate those who took the time to share it. When tackling something this difficult (and I do find getting the sugar out of my life difficult), it's nice to know that there are other people who have done it successfully. HeatherFTW
Hey SusanB., Two additional resources come to mind if you want to explore and dig deeper into sugar addition and how to tackle it (beyond or in addition to Whole30): the book Potatoes Not Prozac, a program specifically for sugar addicts (http://www.amazon.com/Potatoes-Not-Prozac-Solutions-Sensitivity/dp/141655615X), and Growing Human(kind)ness with Karly Randolph Pitman, a personal friend and inspiring voice behind the emotional foundations of sugar addition (http://growinghumankindness.com/) Just thought I'd share in case either help strengthen you on your journey. Cheering you on!

SusanB.
Thank you - Heather. That's a book I've heard of but not yet read. Some friends are starting a book club focusing specifically on healthy lifestyle issues, perhaps I'll suggest it? Either way, it will go on my list. Cheers
HeatherFTW
P.S.S. If you haven't checked out Karly Pitman's site, do so. It just might bless your socks off.
