[email protected]
HI, Came across a recipe for Fried Zucchini Fritters.....it calls for 1/4 coconut flour along with a other items which are whole 30 accepted, but I'm not sure If I'm breaking the the whole 30 rules if I try to make these? I never had fritters before so I don't have anything to compare theses too. Trying to do the right thing....
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted August 30, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 30, 2014 Per this thread, they're okay. I also found this thread to have some further clarification about when something like coconut flour is okay -- although I'll point out that at one point they mention Pure Wraps, which are no long considered compliant for W30, so ignore the mention of those. Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 30, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 30, 2014 We want you to experience eating nutrient dense food during a Whole30. Zucchini is nutrient dense. Coconut flour is not. Cooking zucchini with a little coconut flour to achieve a certain texture is okay. Cooking up zucchini hush puppies that are mostly coconut flour would not be staying on plan. Use your best judgement.
