Juice06870
I recently saw an article online claiming that probiotics are not as helpful as we believe. The research apparently showed that when you drink one of these drinks, or take one of the supplements, a large percentage of what you are taking doesn't even reach the part of your stomach that it's supposed to help heal. I honestly don't remember where I read it, I was at work and extremely busy so I really only gave it a brief look and then never got a chance to go back and read it in depth. Did anyone see any similar article and what are your thoughts? It also mentioned that a liquid form of probiotics is better then pill form. i don't take any supplements for this, but just drink a lot of kombucha and eat a good amount of sauerkraut. Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2014 Have not seen anything on this, but supplements in general never measure up to the effectiveness of eating real, whole foods. For example, taking Vitamin C is a faint echo of the value of eating an orange.
GoJo09
That said, I started taking a probiotic last week and it's made me slightly bloated but my bowels have been markedly improved, so it's certainly doing something.
