Alexian28
I'm an "eat the same thing every morning for breakfast" kind of person.... when I bother to eat breakfast which isn't often. Anyway, my usual breakfast will be 3 eggs scrambled together with a bit of Italian sausage, using coconut oil to coat my pan, with a side of whatever veggies I feel like that morning... cucumber salad, tomatoes and carrots, etc. With the eggs, Italian sausage and bit of coconut oil, do I need to add more fat in the form of half an avocado, or some olive oil dressing with my cucumber salad? Avocados are pretty yucky right now although I love them when they're in season.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 27, 2014 No. There is enough fat in eggs and sausage. Although you are not asking, eating breakfast within one hour of waking in the morning is the single most important thing you can do to improve the hormonal rhythms that control your metabolism and the ease or difficulty you have burning fat. Alexian28
Thanks Tom! Glad to know. I just make the 1 hour mark, as I take my thyroid meds in the morning :-) I'm making a conscious decision to eat breakfast for my whole30 instead of skipping it and being hungry at 10am like I usually do! leahcarn
You will know whether that is enough fat for you by when you start getting hungry for lunch. If you aren't lasting until lunch time, add more fat
