salexander421
I'm on day 3 of whole30 and am sooooo bloated, like 6 months pregnant bloating. I'm coming from a gluten free mostly wholefoods diet but I had been eating quite a bit of sugar :/ Is the bloating normal in the beginning or should I investigate what I'm eating? salexander421
I'm not doing this for purely weightloss but I do need to lose about 30-40lbs, so the tightening of the clothes makes me a little nervous
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 10, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2015 Sometimes the change of what you are eating that comes with a Whole30 gets your gut bacteria stirred up and strange things happen for a week or two. Strange things like bloating.... It passes. However, if you post a report of what you have been eating for a few days, we would be glad to offer some feedback about it. salexander421
I've been eating grassfed beef roast, eggs, sweet potatoes, green veggies, homemade sauerkraut, homemade mayo and ranch style dip made from the mayo, spinach and lettuce salad, carrots, bananas, hmmm I think that's about it. I do have a headache today :/
GFChris
Raw veggies can cause bloat. Maybe switch to all cooked veggies for a few days and see if that gives you some relief?
allycoker
I am on day 5 and experiencing the same problem. Have been eating mostly veggie and grass fed ground beef frittata for breakfast, salads with lean protein and a fat (mostly avocado) for lunch and lean protein and veggies for dinner. Last night had grilled pork chop with roasted carrots, beets and red potatoes and sautéed red cabbage. I eat a gluten free mostly whole foods diet as well prior to my whole30, but had been off track over the holidays and am used to drinking red wine. Any suggestions as my jeans are feeling tighter than day 1? Thanks.
salexander421
I bought some detox tea last night and just had a cup so we'll see if that helps. Going to give it a little time and see what happens I'd rather be bloated in the wintertime than the summertime lol
