How big of a deal are sulfites?

Whole30 Pumpkin Breakfast Pudding

2 cups coconut milk
1 can mashed pumpkin
1 ripe banana
cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
salt
1 tbs. coconut oil, melted
3 tbs. almond meal

Preheat oven to 350. Heat coconut milk in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add pumpkin and banana. Cook for a couple of minutes, mashing up banana (you can also use an immersion blender, which I did). Season to taste with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice and salt.

 

I was debating making this... thinking it might be SWYPO..

Pumpkin pudding. on a whole30 blog, but maybe it shouldn't be. 

 

So I made it, realized I put sulfites in it, waited a day, fed some to my 10 month old, and stuck it in the freezer. I feel like I would be cheating if I ate it.

Any kind of pudding is off limits for Whole30 regardless of the ingredients. It's SWYPO.

Always, always, always check that recipes in blogs are compliant - they are not answerable to anyone but themselves.

If you ate it any of it read the link Chris provided for you in the post above & let us know what you decide, but going forward whether it's day 1 or day 21, stick to the recommended meal template of 1-2 fist sized servings of protein, 1-3 cups of veg, and 1-2 thumbs of fat (or a handful of olives, dollop of mayo etc.)
