mariah_papaya
Went out for brunch this morning. I ordered scrambled eggs, and dutifully asked if the hashbrowns were deep fried or pan fried. The waitress told me they were pan fried. When they arrived they looked suspiciously golden, but I ate them anyways, and now I feel like a sack of $hit. I'm on day 15. GFChris
Did you ask if they used milk in the scrambled eggs and what cooking fat they used? Did you asked what cooking fat they used for the hashbrowns and how they were seasoned? My hunch is you got bitten by a non-compliant fat, dairy, gluten and/or other seasoning. Brewer5
Oh yeah. You'd be surprised by all the crap they add to what should just be "eggs" at a restaurant. IHOP adds buttermilk pancake mix to their omelets to make them fluffy. Etc. etc. etc. etc.

Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted August 24, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2015 Sorry you got dosed, Mariah. Good on you for keeping your chin up and moving forward. You are worth it! Eating out is tough, but it can be done if you really ask the annoying questions. Poached eggs will always be compliant. Ask for a side of steamed broccoli or raw salad greens. Be encouraged!
