Also, snacking even with compliant foods is not the way to go. The goal is to have 3 template-style meals a day which keep you satiated for 4-5 hours.  This can take some tweaking to find the quantities of each item (protein, fat, veggies) within the recommended ranges that work best for you and your lifestyle.
