Kc17
Is all Ghee approved?? I'm on Day 23 and I'm experiencing constipation now (I haven't had much of any up until now.) The only thing I can think of is that I switched from Trader Joe's Ghee to the brand Swad. Ingredients say "butter. Contains milk"
laura_juggles
It has to say "contains milk" for the people with severe dairy allergies. But ghee is fine as long as it doesn't have any non-compliant ingredients added. Maybe switch back to the Trader Joe's Ghee, though I always though it tasted rancid, if it's worked for you... Are you still drinking enough water?
ShuttleWitch
I noticed it tasted rancid as well but I didn't know the word for it. It can still taste good just a little funny. Maybe I will try the other brand.
staceylc_w30
Organic Valley Purity Farms ghee (from Whole Foods) is smooth-textured and it tastes better to me than the Trader Joe's. It is more expensive than TJ's, too. Another option would be to make your own. I just made my first batch using my Instant Pot (electric multi-cooker) and the instructions from ThisOldGal.com. Straining it is kind of a pain, but the ghee is very smooth and mild-tasting.
