Donna Holmberg
So, with Halloween soon approaching and pumpkin carving happening tomorrow in our house, is it ok to roast the pumpkin seeds with some sea salt? Thank and Happy Halloween!!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 29, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2012 Yeah, pumpkin seeds are okay. They are heavy on omega 6 fatty acids and light on omega 3s, so you don't want to make them a regular part of your diet, but they are okay now and again. scrapstitching
Johnny, I know it's been a while since you posted that, but I'm cruising the "can I have" forum for items I'm curious about. I did buy some organic pumpkin seeds and used them yesterday as a garnish. I get to enjoy them, but not overdo. I love nuts and seeds for garnish and am here learning what I should use and what I shouldn't use. It's a shame you can't have them in the house!
