SCrames
So I was invited to this girly holiday cookie potluck/brunch this weekend with mimosas and all that fun stuff. As much as I want to say no because of my Whole30 I really do need to go. Thoughts on what I should bring? I don't really have any concerns about going off track, maybe I can offer to bring brunch food and make a fritatta or something? Maybe bring some cookies and not eat them? Just need some advice/anyone with similar holiday experiences this time of year
Robin Strathdee
Bring something wrapped in prosciutto or complaint bacon ;0) and maybe bring some cookies to share (healthier, if you'd like) so that you can bring a plate home for the freezer (if there are any you want to save for post W30). Renee Lee
I'd just bring something that you CAN eat; it gives everybody else something that isn't pure sugar to eat as well.
Snappy Shark
And bring some seltzer water and garnish it with something fun, like orange slices - that way you can also drink something tasty with bubbles while everyone else is sipping mimosas! You got this.
djprillaman
Faced with the same dilemna, Sarah, I just bought 2 dozen homemade cookies at the church bake sale yesterday and they went right into the freezer to take to the cookie exchange this coming Friday. My husband and I agreed that we are bringing cookies (to participate in the festivities) but not bringing any home with us. I'm also bringing LaCroix coconut water for my bubbly beverage!
