HannahT15
Hello all, I am curious as to whether anyone may have an answer for me. At my local grocery stores, I have found two types of tuna (one can, one pouch) that I have came close to purchasing for my Whole30 meals. However, they both list vegetable broth as an ingredient BUT they do not have a soy allergy like others do. Would it best to steer clear of this just in case there is soy in the vegetable broth? Or should there be no soy at all since there is no allergy statement for it? I am limited to only a handful of stores in my area (Walmart, Kroger, Aldi) and do not have stores such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, etc so I am trying to work with what I've got. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted March 14, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 14, 2018 If soy is not listed on the label anywhere (and really check all over it, they can be sneaky about hiding it) then you should be fine. If you're concerned, contact the company and ask them; most manufacturers will tell you.
laura_juggles
Most WalMarts carry low sodium tuna. That one's actually packed in water rather than broth. Should be compliant.
