Bootsie1947
After whole 30 is over is it necessary to continue with ghee. I’m not sure what the chemical makeup is in ghee verses regular unsalted grass fed butter. Both are high in fat? Can someone explain?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted July 9, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 9, 2018 Ghee is butter that has been cooked so that the milk solids separate from the fat, and then those are strained out, leaving you with just the fat. So going back to regular butter is going to depend on how you react to the stuff that's taken out to make the ghee. There's more about this here, from when the Hartwigs decided to allow ghee in whole30: https://whole30.com/2011/10/better-butter-on-the-whole30-version-5-0/
