Mkaymac
I been enjoying this new way of eating. But today without reading the label, I ate some almond butter., and it had cane sugar and palm oil. So back to square one, what a bummer
SchrodingersCat
Bummer!! Good for you for starting over though! Learning to ready every label (twice!) is one of the biggest things I took from my Whole 30. FYI - Palm oil (while not without major ethical problems, even the so-called sustainable stuff) is actually compliant for the purpose of Whole30 as long as it's not palm kernel oil. Jihanna
I nearly posted something similar last night, about palm oil being okay as long as you're okay with it. That said, those little nut butter packets definitely require a second (and sometimes third) look at the ingredients, at least for me. I know there are some out there though that are just the nut butter or have limited additives (and no sugar), so good luck finding one you like!
