Marcia
I'm trying to make a dressing and was wondering, can I add in a tablespoon of frozen organic apple juice concentrate (no sugar added)? Thanks Much!
Susan W
As far as I know, you can if the ingredients list just says apples. Sometimes they say no sugar and then add something like dextrose.
Marcia
Thanks Susan! The can says "Frozen concentrated apple juice pressed from fresh whole apples. All natural, no sugar, sweeteners or colors added. No preservatives, very low sodium, gluten free. Ingredients: Apple juice concentrate, filtered water, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Hope it's OK... Just added a T. to some homemade OO mayo. Pretty darn good if I do say so myself! It's going on a Seared Chicken Waldorf Salad for tomorrows lunch. Can hardly wait! lol! Susan W
Yeppers that would be just fine. That sounds like such a good salad!
Michaela Elmore Cogswell
yep, same works with orange juice too. I don't drink it much anymore (and wouldn't on a whole 30) but love Simply Orange. I usually add a splash of oj to my creamy balsamic dressing. Marcia
Thanks again, Susan. I'll report on my log about the salad. I can hardly wait... think I'll have it for breakfast. Thanks Michaela! That sounds so good! This opens up a whole new avenue, but I don't want to abuse it. Way, way back in my youth I used to eat frozen concentrate juice by the canful! My favorites were Limeade and Welch's!
